ARPA Funds in Cities and Counties: Reimagining your Local Government’s Role in Reproductive Health, Rights, and Justice
Securing local funding for abortion and other reproductive health care has been one innovative strategy to improve abortion access and ensure our progressive values are reflected in our community and budgets. This rings even more true now as we recover from a pandemic and the resulting public health and economic crises that fall hardest on essential workers, people of color working to make ends meet, undocumented people, and young people. With the federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), a once-in-a-generation investment that includes $350 billion of flexible aid to states and localities, we have an opportunity to advocate for and win local funding that supports our movement and our values — from abortion funding to doula care to new models for community safety and economic justice — and reproductive health, rights, and justice leaders must be at the table.

In this webinar, staff at All* Above All and National Institute for Reproductive Health will:
- Provide information on ARPA and its implications for local funding for reproductive health, rights, and justice;
- Share strategies and tips on how to begin advocating for local funding; and
- Offer resources that can support your advocacy
